When it started it only sold DVD's but in recent years it has started to sell cd's books electronics and lots of other things.
A 2009 survey ranked Play.com as the UK's second favourite retailer for music and video.

Not quite the force they used to be. Play was my 'go to' site for ordering DVDs and games a few years ago. My main issue with Play is their delivery speed. You can pretty much guarantee that any other major online retailer will have your order to you sooner.
Their prices tend to be slightly more than Amazon these days too (who have a much quicker delivery as standard). If the price is cheaper on Play, and you don't mind waiting they're decent enough.
