Nintendo DSi XL
Handheld consoles have come on a long way since the gameboy. The Nintendo DSi XL has two 4.2 inch screens, 93% bigger than the screens on the DS lite. The bigger screen is fantastic and enhances the gamer experience.
Pre-installed on the console are Dr Kawashima's: Little Bit of Brain Training: Arts Edition and Dictionary 6 in 1 with Camera Function and the Nintendo DSi web Browser, which allows internet access via the built in Wi-fi.

Description
The XL is available in a range of colours, initially dark brown and wine red and now also avilable in blue, yellow and green. The top is has a glossy finish whereas the bottom is finished in matt to provide grip. Along with the standard stylus, the DSi XL also comes with a larger "pen" stylus, for a more natural feel.
The DSi XL has all the same features as the DSi such as the ability to create, customise and share photos with friends and family, listen to and play with your music and sounds and download games through the Nintendo DSi Shop.
Dsi camera
You can take photos with the dsi and save them in an album. There is a selection of fun lenses. You can use the dsi camera to add pictures to your facebook profile. These pictures show up in a folder called photos from dsi.
Normal lens
Take unaltered pictures.
Distortion lens
Take pictures and stretch and bed them.
Colour pad lens
Brilliant for swapping colours change the colours of your top with a small tap of your stylus.
Mischief lens
Take a pic and add some funny eyes or daft glasses or even give yourself a nose job even if it is a piggy nose.
Merge lens
Ever wondered what your children could look like, use the merge camera and find out.
Graffiti lens
Add doodles and drawings to your pictures.
Emoter lens
This lens can change the expression on your face.
Mirror lens
Remember the kaleidoscope you can make your pictures look like that with this effect.
Resemblance
Take a picture of two people. Together and this can tell you what percentage you look alike.
Frame lens
Add lovely frames to all your pics. You can also make your own frames.
Colour lens
Add a splash of Colour to a black and white pic.
Dsi sound
With your dsi you can listen to music or a podcast. you can make your own music or just listen to something you have sored on your sd card. You can record your own sounds with a built in microphone. And in addition to this the game sounds are enhanced too.
What is DSIware?
DSIware is a list of games and applications available for download. It’s a bit like the Wii shop channel but is made specifically for the dsi. Some are free games and others you use your dsi points. When downloading the games there is a fun progress bar with a Nintendo character racing to fill the box with blue liquid. Once downloaded your points are then deducted.

I have a dsi xl and a ds lite. I much prefer the dsi xl as the screen is bigger. Since getting the dsi xl I have stopped using the lite as I now find it too small. I would highly reccomend the xl.
